Why I quit Everytown

Recommended Posts

@H0n3b33 (from Mi00ky and me)

You are absolutely right with everything you say. We agree 100% with you. :)

With lower prices especially poor people would be more attracted to buy some seeds and as everyone should know, there are more of them than rich people and they are more willing to give. So if FLERO-Games would be less greedy and make the game a bit more comfortable for the players, more of them would buy seeds and not give up in early stages of playing. There is an idiom FLERO-Games should take to their hearts: "Less is more!"

There are so many dead lowies out there who gave up early, because of the hard leveling up conditions and the "buy for seed" buttons everywhere they look.

And the dead lowies that didn't give up because of that, are mostly given up subaccounts. There seem to be more sub accounts out there than real active players, because you just need it. Help Requests are one of the reasons. Especially the short mills, are missed so easily, so you need a sub account that replaces what we miss because of lacking game mechanics.

Don't get us wrong, it sounds a little like the game would be terrible allover. It is absolutely not. It is nice and cute. It's fun and has something that makes you keep playing. But anyway we hope FLERO-Games' Everytown Team reads your post and takes it serious so they can make use of your criticism, because it's aboslutely founded.

A big thanks too you for hitting the nail on the head. ;)

As we said in our pm to you, game and forum won't be the same without you anymore.

Thank you for your friendship, little Honeybee & we will let you hear from us. :x

Sincerly

@Sp00by & @Mi00ky

That was a lot to read and very well written! You are right, especially with what could be made better.

But everything needs time and we don't know how ET will change with the future, I will never give ET up!

So I will see it grow and shine or going down and hopefully it will be the first option! :D

Like I often say "I will stay until the very end!"

There is so much potential in this game! I usually never played mobile games. I am way more a console/handheld player. But this game made me use my smarthphone way more than I ever thought I would. Since smarthphones usually don't get much attention from me. :P

It is very sad that you are leaving our community and not only I will miss you. You are great at choosing the right words and you wrote a great last post. I really hope ET will notice it and maybe we will see it grow in an other way in the future. I will be there and watch it.

But I don't only wish for the community to become bigger and happier or ET. I also wish you only the best in your life, my dear.

Thank you for beeing an awesome and great pal! And if you ever decide to join our community again I will be there and welcome you with open arms! ♡

May your last post become wings and hopefully start something!

Thank you, my dear. :3

@h0n3b33

I feel sorry that you leave, but I am very thankful for your post, since every single word spoke my mind. And I know that at least 3 other gamer exactly think the same!

I mean, come on, I am already afraid of the next updates and how I can afford them. And the only reason why is temporarily, just because I already spent so much money.

And (almost) no one let's you help on premium mills,  when you can't offer them one too.

The game is stressing, not only the wallet also the gamer himself.

And @GM_Tom This is nothing personal, but for what I know, no company let's his costumer go like that.

Of course you won't give her 1000000 seeds to stay, (sure everyone would post such a thread then) but I guess the reaction should have been an other. For example something like " I'm/we are sorry for your experience with us, but I will definitely let everyone who works for flero know about the post and we will work it out. Thank you for your honesty. "

I understand your answer like this: "yeah, whatever,  we will continue like that, that brings enough profit."

Be thankful for that post, I mean it. So many people just quit, without giving a reason and the company has no clue of what they did wrong.

I don't see it like that. The most company's give a s*** if a costumer leave or not. I know of what I am talking about, since I have a lot of experience about the gaming industry itself. Normally nobody would even care.^^

That Tom had respond to her is something I highly appreciate and shows that he care and the most important: he shows his respect.

I think no GM would easily write that he/her will talk about that with his/her team or not, since this would be company-internal and only force some hot-headed people to wrong expectations.

If there ever will be some major changes about ET in the future we won't know it until they let us know. Every company is like that and it's okay. Everything in this whole world needs time especially if the rules are not made by one person.^^

@Kyoushirou well, then it seems we made different experiences. From the grocery store to my Internet provider and pay tv, they cared a lot, when I wasn't satisfied. Of course the couldn't make big decisions on their own, or reform the company's rules, but never did they make me feel like they wouldn't care. Or let me go with out trying to make me stay.

Erm....pay tv and internet profider? ^^ You can't really put company's like that in the same pot like a company from an online game.

If I would quit a random contract where I have to pay once a month or however the contract is made they will of course keep me! xD

But the most online games haven't such contract's. You play..maybe you pay..but you don't need to pay. Also there is usually never a personal relationship between them and you. You just play their game.

I made a lot of experiences with online games like MMORPGs and so on. They really don't care if you go. My friends didn't make other experiences. It's totally normal that some players maybe quit and new players will come.

Like I said I usually prefer console/handheld games. I buy it, I play it..no additional costs and mostly not bound to an online server. But I love ET. I love the community, my friends and my town. That's why I stay and play.^^

First of all... you're my bestie tooooo !!! I hope you are reading your replies :)

My two cents would be that it's all true. If Tom is stretched too thin, then I think they need to hire people on. If they didn't anticipate the demands the game would have... well the game's been out over a year now... a year is a long time to have hired someone one to help service players.

I find it frustrating and very disrespectful and RUDE to be ignored. I was ignored recently when asking about why prices are higher for Theme Park stuff :(

Here's a little bit of a tip... for those records of how many players are willing to spend tons of money. Or 30-60$ a month...

People make alternative accounts and spend big $ because they can on SEVERAL accounts. That shows up in their records as oh okay people are totally able to handle this price. Cool. Wrong.... it's still the 5% of the community funding these bad prices.

It's true, you can play without money you can play and buy using the seeds you get IG. That process though is MUCH slower than any other micro game I've ever played or seen. The stuff you can get with seeds really does make the game.... without them, the game would be extremely slow and people will get bored super fast or just not be nearly as active as Flero is trying to make us. Having timers on stuff for when it rots, needing to accept help on time, hot time.. all things to try and make a player play but the play style is so much slower... like snail slow. Making gold to buy eco/boxes/mills would be slower, house upgrades would be waayyy slower and Honeybee already said leveling ...

Kyou is certainly right, most game companies do not make personal relationships or are that personable towards their community. You get a notice in game and a post on social media and that's that. I've recently (as of two and a half months ago) been playing The World of Magic by Com2us and I can't find a useful link anywhere to Email them... maybe I wasn't looking hard enough lol but even though the game has more to do, I play it more, I will NOT spend money on it. I pay in support for ET and because I like their product. Although I like com2us's game, I don't like how they run their services... so I refuse to support them with MY money.

I've been incredibly inactive myself and although I don't want to quit... my town is going down hard. The demand to spend is so demotivating. I visit all 123? Of my friends and I still am not sure if I'll get all heart items and if they don't do the heart event then I'm totally screwed. Haha!

There have been people who stopped supporting ET because lack of content. You can literally do all the game has to offer if you have 24hr mills running or even longer mills now with new update ... and be good. There's not much going on in game to have a person keep playing. Before playing the com2us game... I spent all day on ET somehow between messages and heart grinding, logging into alts to reset their stuff.. and checking smaller timed mills but with demand being higher, I just feel lazier. I can actively kill monsters and walk around and do all the things rpg games offer and since I can spend more time on the game I'm more attached and keep going back.

As much as I love ET and fully understand ET is a toooootally different game style... the greed is the same but the attraction for spending can vary immensely since it's a lot easier to wanna spend on a game you can literally HANG OUT in since there's a chat system.

Now I know KET has features still to come to us like the Guild System and the other randomly bubbles and icon tabs but the prices Flero has set are just so different in perspective to what you get, and in translation only seem to be getting slightly more expensive in my opinion.

In respect to this looooong message full of negative feedback. I want to say I love this game a heck of a lot!!! I love the community! I appreciate a GM popping on to reply occasionally with personality and I appreciate the gifts that WERE actually super duper. The random Valentine's eco was adorable... although it may be a little glitchy now it's an adorable addition lol I appreciate the idea of having events even if there's been drama behind them. I love that we are literally all like little neighbors as per the story in the game, helping eachother. Lots of games have that sure but ET has such a chatty and helpful community... some players run their towns with set rules and exchanges sure but for those that are just like hi! I'll help your quest mill for you ♡ it's just so cute. That isn't exactly fully on Flero, it's just luck that they have such a lovely community as their clientele. I love the art, I would like to see this micro trans greed turn into like merchandise or something  because the art is super dang cute. Cute phone case with the cherry tree girl or something lol I don't know :D but the art has potential. I know they have the art book but it has writing in it doesn't it?? Not translated ?

Thats all I can think of for now ... I'm sad to see such a good friend go! I'm sad that I agree with her even though I love Everytown.

Gonna go ahead and bump this because in March 2018, more than a year later... ALL OF THIS IS STILL TRUE, and it's only gotten worse in my opinion. I see so many of my friends quitting, so many new players who don't bother to stick around, and I genuinely feel like it's because ET is ignoring a lot of this. I went through old News threads from 2016 and people were complaining about a lot of this even then. Please ET, read this and take all of it into consideration.

I have played the korean version for Everytown many years ago (2011/2012?), when I still had to log into kakaotalk to play the game (as there hasnt been the english version yet), but as I lost my kakaotalk account when I've changed my phone number (I think it was the case), I had also lost my everytown-account and so I've stopped playing the game, as I didnt want to start all over again.
then I've decided to re-start playing the english version about 5 months ago and I have reached level 40 by now and also spent money on that game twice, because else it would be nearly impossible to get the items that I want, and even still some of the items are VERY hard/impossible to get without spending LOTS of money,

mostly ridiculous is that "gather /craft" thing!,
I've worked so hard to get to level 40 to be able to get the items from gather/craft-option, but when I finally reached Level 40 a few days ago, I was really disappointed to find out that its quite impossible to do that gathering without using lots of seeds, because 300.000.000 (MILLION!) coins, to open the next 'gather'-level is just ridiculous ,how to get 300.000.000 coins without spending lots of real money on that game???
they make it impossible to open the gather-fields with coins, but at least they want to be so 'nice' to give us that option...

I would need to get about 150.000 "Gold Ore" and re-sell them, to be able to gather the 300-million coins , when you actually rarely receive the Gold Ore at gathering...

so of course spending 50 seeds on that would seem quite cheap to me compared to the 300.000.000 coins..

well, but I guess as long as there are chinese people playing this game, there will be enough money coming in.
chinese just use these kind of games to show of how rich they are among each other, so the garden with most hard-to-get /expensive items will be the richest person in china ,or anything like that they think..
they (everytown) dont care about the people who cant (or dont want to) afford the items, they just care about the chinese that love to spend money on just anything.
